Mumbai, June 10 -- Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam's much awaited film 'Thug Life' has been surrounded by controversies. The language controversy over the film gained such momentum that its screening was banned in Karnataka. Now this matter has reached the country's Supreme Court and the Supreme Court has agreed to hear it on June 13.
In fact, during the audio launch of the film, actor and politician Kamal Haasan made a statement in which he said that 'Kannada language originated from Tamil.'
