Mumbai, July 28 -- Famous musician Ilaiyaraaja has received a big blow from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has rejected his petition, in which he had sought to transfer his copyright-related legal battle from the Bombay High Court to the Madras High Court.
The bench of Justice B. R. Gavai, Justice K. Vinod Chandran and Justice N. V. Anjaria did not agree with the arguments of senior advocate Gopal Shankarnarayanan, who appeared on behalf of Ilaiyaraaja. The advocate had argued that this matter is related to the case pending in the Madras High Court, so it should be transferred there.
