Mumbai, June 2 -- Indian singer Rekha Bhardwaj achieved a turning point in her career with the song 'Namak' from the 2006 film 'Omkara'. The song gave a new direction to her life and brought her musical journey back on track. Recently, Rekha recalled her days of struggle when it became difficult for her to get work.
Rekha told News18 that the song 'Namak' helped her rediscover that naughty and fun-loving side of her. She said, "When I was first asked to sing this song, I had almost lost my confidence. But Vishal Bhardwaj believed in me. One night he heard my recording and said, 'Only you can sing this song.' This inspired me again. I was not getting much work at that time, but that song helped me recognize my talent."
