Fiji, Sept. 30 -- Reverend Sir Tofiga Vaevalu Falani has been reappointed as Tuvalu's Governor General for another 12 months after taking his oath of office Tuesday.
The ceremony was administered by Acting Chief Justice Sir John Muria and attended by Prime Minister Feleti Teo, Secretary to Government Dr Tufoua Panapa, and officials from the Attorney General's Office and the Office of the Judiciary.
Acting Chief Justice Sir Muria congratulated Sir Falani, saying he wished him success in his continued service.
In response, Sir Falani thanked the government for renewing his mandate.
"I express my gratitude to the Government of Tuvalu for their trust in me, pledging to fulfill my duties with truth and faithfulness," he said in statement....
