Fiji, Feb. 27 -- The Pacific ACP Trade Officials Meeting kicked off Wednesday with a call for action as Tonga's Minister for Internal Affairs, Distaquaine Tu'ihalamaka,emphasised the need for continued resilience and collective effort in the region's trade agenda.
"It's a moment to take stock of our achievements, as well as to consider the work yet to be done in the coming year, said Minister Tu'ihalamaka.
The region has faced numerous challenges, but the Minister stressed that the resilience shown by Pacific states remains a source of inspiration. However, Tu'ihalamaka highlighted that much work remains ahead, especially in ensuring that the benefits of trade and investment are shared equitably across all Pacific nations.
