Fiji, March 25 -- Fiji's Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem has been reappointed for an extended term of five years on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission.

In accordance with the Fijian Constitution, President (Ret'd) Jioji Konrote made this appointment following an open merit recruitment process.

Saneem is responsible for conducting national elections, the registration of voters, the registration of political parties and the registration of candidates.

He was first appointed to the position on 28 March, 2014.
