Fiji, May 30 -- Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has dismissed Attorney-General Graham Everett Leung from Cabinet, effective immediately, citing findings from a recent Commission of Inquiry into the appointment of Barbara Malimali as Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).

"Today, I have decided to exercise the power conferred upon me by Section 92(3)(b) of the Constitution, to dismiss Graham Everett Leung as a Minister holding the office of Attorney-General, with immediate effect," Rabuka said in a statement.

Leung was appointed to the role on 05 June 2024.
