Fiji appointed chair of new Pacific Regional Council for Early Childhood Development

Fiji's Minister of Health and Medical Services, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete, has been appointed chairman of the new Pacific Regional Council for Early Childhood Development (ECD).
The announcement was made today at the high level regional forum on Childhood Development (ECD) in Nadi, Fiji.
The co-chair of the Council will be Samoa's Finance Minister, Sili Epa Tuioti.
The Pacific Regional Council for Early Childhood Development will be led by Pacific Ministers with their governments on implementing the council's plans to create a better future for children in the region.
