Delhi, Sept. 17 -- Himachal Pradesh has opened state borders for tourists and visitors, and they will no longer need e-passes or test results. After a lockdown of five months, the state has opened borders for free movement.

However the state cabinet has decided not to resume inter-state transport buses as of now.

The announcement comes as a huge step in reviving the economy of the state. Himachal Pradesh is heavily dependent on tourism and has a number of pilgrimage spots within its borders. With winters approaching, the state turns a popular destination with snowfall views and adventure activities.
