Tension gripped Haladipali under the Sohela police limits in Bargarh district after a young man was brutally murdered at a local petrol pump late Wednesday night.
Shocking visuals of the incident, captured on CCTV cameras, show the assailantrepeatedly striking the victim in a gruesome attack. According to preliminary reports, an unidentified miscreantattacked the youth with sharp-edged weapons, killing him on the spot before fleeing the scene.
Local sources have identified the deceased as a prominent local leader from Haladipali village. However, the exact motive behind the murder remains unclear.
