Bhubaneswar, Feb. 16 -- A youth was found hanging from a pole in the Taladanda Canal near SCB Medical College and Hospital in Ranihat area of Cuttack City earlySunday morning. Locals spotted the body at about 7:15 am and informed the local police which then recovered thebody.

Sources indicated the circumstances of the incident could be suicide. However, police have maintained that the cause of death will be ascertained only after reviewing nearby CCTV footage and conducting a post-mortem of the body.
