Bhubaneswar, Dec. 2 -- These are the desperate cries of a helpless mother outside Naveen Niwas (CM Naveen Patnaik's House) to save her son's life. Tamalika Das was again on the streets on Thursday requesting help for her son Rajveer, who is suffering from the rare condition of spinal muscular atrophy. For treatment of their 18 months old son, they need to administer US-made zolgensma injection within 3 months.

The injection reportedly costs around Rs 16 crore for which Tamalika has been knocking on the doors of Odisha CM seeking help. After a 2-hour-long dharna by the woman, Bhubaneswar DCP, doctor reached the spot and pacified the parents and admitted the child to Capital Hospital.
