Woman Maoist Of KKBN Division Surrenders In Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- A woman Maoist surrendered before Kandhamal Police on Sunday. The ultra, Kanti Mallick, was an active member of KKBN Division of Odisha State Committee.
A native of Gangaranga village under Baliguda block, Kanti became active member of the banned CPI (Maoist) outfit in 2018.
"Kanti was part of the KKBN Division Odisha State Committee and a Red Rebel since 2018. Now, she has realised that the Maoist's ideology is futile. She is also inspired by various developmental activities being undertaken by the State government," said Kandhamal Superintendent of Police (SP), Vinit Agrawal.
