Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14 -- A woman claiming to be a volunteer was arrested by Khandagiri police on Saturday in connection with an alleged job fraud case.

The accused, identified as Sureshwari Jena, was taken into custody following allegations that she duped several job aspirants on the pretext of providing employment.

Police said a case had been registered at Khandagiri police station after multiple complaints were received against her. In the present case, the alleged fraud amount is estimated to be between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. However, investigators suspect that the total cheating could run into several crores of rupees.
