Bhubaneswar, Jan. 6 -- A wave of grief swept through Sunari Sahi in Jeypore town of Odisha's Koraput district after a mother and her son died within hours of each other on Tuesday, leaving the locality in shock and mourning.

According to sources, the elderly woman, identified as Shibani, passed away in the early hours of the day after being unwell for nearly a week. She lived with her son and daughter at their residence in Sunari Sahi. Despite her age and illness, she was managing household responsibilities and caring for her mentally challenged daughter.
