Bhubaneswar, Jan. 16 -- Considering the batting debacle of Team India in the last few months, BCCI is considering to include an additional support staff member, preferably a batting coach.
Following the development, former England captain Kevin Pietersen has put his hand up for the role. The stylish former England batter has been a regular commentator in the IPL and other major tournaments. Kevin also boasts an outstanding CV regarding batting credentials.
In 104 Tests, Pietersen garnered a total of 8,181 runs at an impressive average of 47.28. His 23 centuries place him third on England's all-time list for most Test hundreds.
However, Kevin does not have any experience of coaching a top-level cricket team.
