Bhubaneswar, Dec. 14 -- Organising a marriage procession with band, sound system, or loudspeakers in Cuttack now requires mandatory prior permission from the police, with applicants required to submit a detailed set of documents and follow a fixed online approval process under the Odisha Urban Police Act.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Cuttack, informed that individuals planning marriage processions must apply for a licence addressed to the DCP office through the prescribed online portal.

According to the information shared by the police, applicants must submit the original booking receipt of the band or sound system and execute an indemnity bond on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs 100, duly notarised.
