Bhubaneswar, July 17 -- Odisha Cricket Association's (OCA) ambition of reaping rich rewards by appointing a high profile coach from outside the State became futile again as former India opener Wasim Jaffer resigned as the head coach of the Ranji team.

As per reports, Jaffer resigned from the post due to a coaching assignment from Bangladesh Cricket Board for their U-19 team.

Meanwhile, OCA has appointed R Srikanth as the head coach of the Odisha senior men's team for season 2022-23.
