India, March 10 -- Police forces are on high alert in Chandaka locality of Bhubaneswar, following a violent clash over government land in Malipada village. The group clash that occurred on Sunday night witnessed the detonation of around 15 crude bombs and blank firing.

A probe has been launched by scientific teams to gather evidence on the incident.

A heated altercation allegedly erupted when mafia elements took the matter into their own hands regarding the encroachment and subsequent sale of government land. Following the confrontation, the Commissionerate Police have assured the public that swift action will be taken to apprehend those responsible for the violence.
