Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- A dramatic incident unfolded over the Valentine's weekend in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh, where a young woman jumped into the Saryu River after being fed up with her boyfriend. Luckily for her, people spotted her right on time before she was saved from drowning.

According to police and local reports, the woman became upset with her boyfriend during the Valentine's week and walked to the banks of the Saryu near the Dohri Ghat-Barahalganj border area. In a moment of distress and frustration, she jumped into the river, apparently intending to end her life.
