India, March 7 -- In anticipation of the scorching summer, the Odisha government assured the residents on Friday that electricity will not be disconnected due to unpaid bills.

Besides, Minister Pujari emphasised the urgent need for any non-functional tubewells to be operational within 48 hours, ensuring no disruption to water supply. Plans are in progress to establish shelters for domestic and stray animals, safeguarding their well-being during the intense heat. ...
