A major fraud case has come to light in Jagatsinghpur's Balikuda area, where two women allegedly duped several people of more than Rs 80 lakh. The two women allegedly took money from these people on the pretext of arranging loans.
Acting on multiple complaints, Balikuda police arrested the accused on Thursday. They have been identified as Rita Das of Gurujanga village in Khordha district and Pramila Barik of Borikina village under Balikuda police limits.
As per sources, the accused defrauded women in Balikuda and Jagatsinghpur by promising loans from Andhra Pradesh's Swarnakeswar Agency. After collecting large sums, they went ...
