Twelve days after traffic constable Shubhamitra Sahu went missing from Bhubaneswar, the ongoing investigation has taken a fresh turn with police detaining a clerk from the Twin City Police Commissioner's Office for questioning.

The clerk, identified as Deepak Rout, has emerged as a prime suspect in the case following fresh leads and a complaint filed by the constable's father last night.

According to sources, Rout was picked up for interrogation after evidence surfaced suggesting that he had accompanied Shubhamitra in a car journey towards Keonjhar's Tarini temple.
