Bhubaneswar, Feb. 21 -- US President Donald Trump said India "pulled way back" from buying Russian oil at his request and asserted that a recent Supreme Court ruling striking down his sweeping tariffs would not affect the India-US trade deal announced earlier this month.He also described his relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "great."
The remarks came after the Supreme Court of the United States invalidated Trump's broad global tariffs in a 6-3 decision. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that the president had exceeded his authority by invoking the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose tariffs without congressional approval.
