Bhubaneswar, Nov. 15 -- A lady from Odisha is among the two journalists who were arrested by the Tripura Police in connection with the Tripura violence case. The duo was soon released on bail after a court granted them bail. Earlier they were reportedly been booked for promoting 'communal hatred' during their reporting on October 26 on communal violence in Tripura.

Samriddhi K Sakunia, who hails from Jharsuguda district of Odisha, is a journalist engaged with Delhi-based HW News Network. Samriddhi along with another colleague Swarna Jha were reporting on the recent instances of alleged communal violence in Tripura. The duo was detained by the Assam Police on Sunday at Karimganj Neelam Bazaar close to the Assam-Tripura border.
