Tribal girls from Odisha brave poverty and hardships to script sports glory
Bhubaneswar, June 25 -- Poverty and lack of proper facilities have not deterred two tribal girls from Odisha to script tremendous success in the field of sports in national and international levels.
Meet promising hockey star Namasi Jarika and emerging volleyball player Lasyamayee Mahanta who were recently felicitated after returning to their villages following brilliant performances in different national and international level tournaments.
Under the leadership of Namasi, Odisha secured a silver medal in the Khelo India games.
