In a major counter-terror operation, security forces have eliminated Hashim Musa, the alleged mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack, in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, codenamed 'Operation Mahadev', was carried out jointly by the Indian Army and the J&K Police in the Lidwas area near Srinagar.
Hashim Musa, a top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was earlier associated with the Pakistan Army before joining the terror outfit in 2022. He played a crucial role in planning and executing the Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepalese citizen.
