Bhubaneswar, April 9 -- Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued alert for thunderstorm and lightning (accompanied by hail) alert for several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at few places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh and Nabarangpur districts, IMD said in a release.
