Bhubaneswar, Nov. 29 -- Tension erupted in the Rausapatna area of Cuttack late on Friday night after pieces of suspected cow meat were found dumped in front of a shop and on the roadside, sparking protests from local residents. According to sources, the situation led to a heated atmosphere, with people gathered in large numbers and staging a road blockade on the Rausapatna and Seminary Chhak route, demanding clarification and action.
Following the incident, Cuttack DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo, along with senior police officials, including ACPs and IICs of several police stations, reached the spot to assess the situation and maintain order.
