Bhubaneswar, Jan. 24 -- In a refreshing departure from lavish wedding traditions, an IAS-IPS couple in Telangana chose to solemnise their marriage through a simple registered ceremony, sending out a strong message on simplicity and social responsibility.

IAS officer Srikant Reddy and IPS officer Sheshadrini Reddy formalised their marriage at the Choutuppal Sub-Registrar Office in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Wednesday. The couple opted for a no-frills, legally registered marriage, avoiding grand celebrations and excessive expenditure, an act that has drawn widespread appreciation.
