When cyber criminals are adopting new tools to dupe victims, the Odisha Police is also upgrading itself to assist victims and track down such fraudsters. In one such case, the Crime Branch has managed to nab an accused for duping several job aspirants to the tune of over Rs 1 crore by promising them highly paid jobs.
The accused has been identified as Bishnu Prasad Pattanaik alias Biranchi Narayan Pattnaik. He used to lure his victims to provide high-paying jobs and demanded consultancy charges, bribes.
