Suspended forest officer in Odisha jumps DFO office boundary wall, flees
Bhubaneswar, June 11 -- A suspended forester, who was summoned to Athagarh DFO office for questioning in connection with the recovery of skeletal remains of an elephant, allegedly escaped by scaling the boundary wall of the office on Saturday.
The forester has been identified as Manoj Das.
Earlier, taking a serious note of the recovery of the wild animal's skeleton, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) had suspended two forest officials including Das. The other official placed under suspension is Badamba ranger Suresh Sarangi.
"We had brought Manoj for questioning. We have high security arrangement near the gate. However, he managed to escape by jumping the boundary wall of the office campus," said ACF Harekrushna Mallik....
