Bhubaneswar, Feb. 18 -- The Supreme Court has sought a report regarding a recent road accident that occurred in Ganjam district. The Supreme Court Road Safety Committee has asked for a detailed report on the accident that took place on the National Highway near Haladiapadar in Berhampur in January.

The Supreme Court has directed the Odisha government to submit a comprehensive report by March 5. The court has also instructed the authorities to take necessary measures to prevent such accidents in the future.

Additionally, the SC has asked the state government to submit a report outlining the proposed safety measures to the committee.
