The Odisha government's flagship welfare initiative, Subhadra Yojana, completed one year on Tuesday. Introduced by the BJP government, it is regarded as one of the state's most ambitious programs aimed at promoting women's empowerment and financial independence.
As per official data, financial aid worth Rs 15,000 crore has been distributed in three installments over the past year. The government claims the scheme has benefitted nearly one crore women, helping them move towards greater self-reliance.
