Bhubaneswar, Jan. 29 -- The hanging body of a female student was recovered from Mahabir Colony under Jajpur Road police limits in Odisha on Thursday. Police said the incident is suspected to be a case of suicide, though investigations are still underway to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding her death.

According to police, the deceased was a first-year +3 student of Vyasanagar Autonomous College and was staying in a rented accommodation in the area. On receiving information about the incident, Jajpur Road police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and completed the initial legal formalities. The body was subsequently recovered and sent for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
