In the wake of the second wave of flooding in the Brahmani river, as many as ten panchayats under Pattamundai block in Kendrapara district have been completely cut off from the outside world on Tuesday.
As per reports, rising water levels since last night have submerged roads, with floodwaters reaching waist-deep in several areas. The situation has severely disrupted transportation, causing significant difficulties for local residents.
"We are not able to move anywhere for our daily work as the road communication has been completely snapped due to flood water," said a woman in the area.
"We don't have any boat facilities here....
