Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit AIIMS Bhubaneswar to assess the condition of the girl student from Fakir Mohan Autonomous College, Balasore, who attempted self-immolation on Saturday.
The Chief Minister will interact with doctors treating the critically injured student and also speak to her family during the visit, informed Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling on Sunday.
The visit follows intense public scrutiny and a statewide outcry over the circumstances that led to the student's drastic act.
