Bhubaneswar, Jan. 23 -- A series of thefts has rocked the Patapur police station area in Ganjam district, triggering panic and fear among local residents. In the last four days, miscreants have reportedly burgled at least ten houses, fleeing with gold ornaments and cash.

According to reports, the burglaries followed a similar pattern. The accused allegedly entered houses through backyard entrances, broke open doors and forced open almirahs to steal valuables. In several cases, family members were present inside the houses at the time of the thefts, raising serious concerns over security and law enforcement.
