Ayan Patra, a six-year-old from Baripada town in Mayurbhanj district, provided a profound example of compassion as his organs were donated bringing new lease of life to two others. Ayan's kidneys were used to save two patients after he was pronounced brain dead by medical professionals.
According to sources, the incident occurred on May 6 when Ayan was gravely injured by a falling gate while playing with his friends. Initially treated at a facility in Baripada, Ayan was subsequently moved to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar due to the severity of his condition.
