Orissa, March 29 -- A proposal to amend the Shri Jagannath Temple Act will be sent to the Odisha government. A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held at the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) office today. The temple's Chief Administrator, Aravinda Padhee, stated that the existing penal provisions are inadequate for incidents like flying drones over the temple and capturing photos or videos inside the premises using mobile phones. To formalize this, a committee led by the District Collector has been formed to draft the amendment proposal, according to Padhee.
