A shop building collapsed near the Koraput bus stand on Saturday, sparking fears that two to three people may be trapped under the debris. Teams from the Fire Services, ODRAF, and local police have launched rescue operations at the site.
According to eyewitness accounts, several people were inside the shop when they heard loud cracking noises from the structure. While some managed to rush outside in time, the building caved in moments later.
Authorities suspect that two or three individuals, including the shop owner, could still be trapped beneath the rubble. However, the exact number of victims has not yet been confirmed.
