BERHAMPUR, Oct. 1 -- As many as seven persons were injured after a clash erupted between two groups of two different villages over past enmity in Berhampur.

As per reports, following a dispute over fishing in Bahuda river, villagers of Rameyapatna and Chandanbada got into a dispute last night which later turned into a violent clash.

Reportedly, swords and other weapons were used in the clash during which seven persons including Rameyapatna Sarpanch P Rameya and a woman from Chandanbada were also injured.

Rameya, who suffered a head injury was admitted to Berhampur hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Following tension, one-and-a-half platoons of police force were deployed at the spot and section 144 was impose...
