Koraput, June 21 -- Tension prevailed at Semiliguda block office after the local block development officer (BDO) allegedly thrashed a divyang beneficiary.
As per reports, BDO Trinath Majhi allegedly manhandled Chandra Khara of Musaguda village when the latter had reportedly gone to the block office to request concerned officials to sanction funds for the construction of a toilet allotted under a govt scheme in the name of his wife.
However, trouble erupted after Khara learnt that the money was sanctioned to another beneficiary. For seeking a clarification, the BDO allegedly thrashed Khara inside the block office.
