Bhubaneswar, Jan. 21 -- A student of Sambalpur University was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside the Brahmaputra Hostel at Burla on Tuesday night, triggering shock and concern across the university campus. The deceased has been identified as Suraj Kujur, a second-year Economics student of the university.

He was a native of the Kutra area in Sundargarh district and was residing alone in Room No. 52 of the Brahmaputra Hostel. His body was found hanging inside the hostel room, following which the Burla police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
