Bhubaneswar, Feb. 22 -- A few days after a government school teacher from Bolangir district sought leave to work as a labourer after not receiving his salary for three months, IAS Ananya Das, State Project Director, intervened and directed the immediate release of the teacher's salary.

The senior bureaucrat directed the salary release of all the teachers in every district. In a letter to the branch manager of CANARA Bank, Bapujee Nagar branch, Bhubaneswar, the senior IAS officer directed the release of funds to the districts towards teachers' salaries for FY 2024-25.
