Bhubaneswar, Jan. 28 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday unveiled three major Hindalco Industries Ltd projects worth about Rs 25,500 crore in the Lapanga area of Sambalpur district.
The chief minister laid the foundation stone for a Rs 21,000-crore expansion of Hindalco's aluminium smelter, which will add 3.6 lakh tonnes per annum of capacity.
CM Majhi also inaugurated the commissioning of a flat rolled products (FRP) and battery-grade aluminium foil manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 1.7 lakh tonnes, developed at an investment of Rs 4,500 crore.
