Bhubaneswar, Jan. 11 -- Two passengers injured in the recent aircraft crash incident in Sundargarh district's Rourkela City have been airlifted to Mumbai for advanced medical treatment, the State government confirmed on Sunday.

Commerce & Transport Department Principal Secretary Usha Padhee said the injured were shifted to Mumbai voluntarily for better treatment facilities. She added that the Odisha government is fully prepared to provide all necessary assistance to those affected by the incident, if necessary.

"The State government is ready to extend every possible support. If required, other injured patients undergoing treatment may also be airlifted," Principal Secretary Padhee said.
