The government of Odisha is set to enhance its Special Striking Force by forming three new battalions, primarily staffed by former military personnel from the Army and Navy, along with members of the Central Armed Police Forces.

Moreover, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has sanctioned a proposal to increase the monthly pay for these security personnel, bringing about significant changes to their remuneration structure.

The minimum salary for the Special Striking Force personnel has been increased from Rs 30,000 to Rs 45,000. The development has been announced in a press release issued by the Chief Minister's office on Thursday.
