India, March 1 -- Odisha is currently experiencing intense heat, with temperatures reaching new heights at the start of March. According to forecasts by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the region could witness record-breaking heat likely to persist till the end of May.
Ongoing rise in temperature signifies an unusually protracted summer, with heat typically lasting four to five days in March now potentially extending up to a week or longer.
Titilagarh emerged as the hottest place in the State on Saturday, with a peak temperature of 38.5 Degrees Celsius. At least 11 places have recorded temperatures surpassing 37 Degrees Celsius, underscoring the severity of the heat.
