Bhubaneswar, Feb. 20 -- Light to moderate rainfall lashed several places in Odisha on Wednesday evening with drizzle continuing until Thursday in areas including Bhubaneswar. Further, the rainfall activity is expected to continue for the next four days, as per a prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The Weather Department attributed the current wet conditions to the influence of a western disturbance and a trough line passing through the state, under whose impact northern interior Odisha may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and rainfall.
